Random Letter Picker: A to Z

A wheel full of letters is oddly useful. The Alphabet A-Z preset loads the 26 letters of the alphabet, one per slice, so a single spin answers questions like "which letter do we start with?" and "who goes first, A or someone else?"

What it is and how to use it

Pick Alphabet A-Z from the presets and the wheel fills with all 26 letters, each one its own sector, spread evenly around the circle. Spin, and the pointer lands on one letter. It runs in the browser, and a basic spin needs no registration.

From there the list is yours. Delete the letters you have already used, add a wildcard entry, or swap the whole set for something else entirely. In a classroom you might keep only the letters that appear in the week's spelling words; for a name draw you could replace them with your own list. Save the result to a free account and you will not rebuild it next week.

When it comes in handy

• Word games — hand a player a starting letter and let them build from it.
• Seating by initial — group people by the first letter of their name.
• Letter challenges — "name a city starting with this letter" works at any party.
• A quick tie-breaker — when two options feel equal, let a letter decide.

Get better results

Set the spin speed to slow when the suspense is part of the fun, and pick a clear winning sound so the room knows the result. You can also mute everything if you are playing somewhere quiet.

Use elimination mode for games where the same letter must not repeat — each drawn letter leaves the wheel, so the remaining ones stay in play.

Add a title before you project, such as "Word Game — Round 1". It keeps the audience oriented and makes the wheel look intentional rather than improvised.

Letters are easy to edit, so do not treat the preset as fixed. If your game only uses half the alphabet, delete the rest before you start. open the wheel and let it pick the first letter.
